JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Four people were taken into custody following a high risk traffic stop in Jamestown Monday afternoon.

Jamestown Police Chief Scott Edinger reports officers with his department, Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, James Valley Special Operations, and North Dakota Probation and Parole conducted the stop on 2nd Ave. SW in the 1000 block of Jamestown at around 4:15 PM.

“At least one individual in the car was a suspect in several residential and vehicle burglaries in and around Jamestown,” Chief Edinger reports.

Two search warrants were followed-up at Comfort Inn as well as two vehicles located in the parking lot just after 8 PM. Items related to some reports of burglaries were located including two handguns.

“Items of drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine were also seized during the searches,” Chief Edinger explained.

A fifth search was conducted at the Quality Inn just before 11 PM. The search uncovered more drug paraphernalia. Four individuals were arrested during the searches and traffic stop. They include:

Kyle Wegleitner 32 of Jamestown – probation hold

Ashley Weber 29 of Jamestown – accomplice to theft (firearm), accomplice to burglary
(dwelling), possession of stolen property, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia

William Wagner 45 of Jamestown – felon in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia (meth), possession of stolen property, burglary of a dwelling at night, theft of a firearm

Noah Alexander Pruett 18 of Jamestown- possession with intent to deliver (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia (meth), criminal attempt-unlawful entry into motor vehicle, theft (firearm), and burglary of a dwelling at night.

Chief Edinger says the investigation is still ongoing and may result in further arrests.
