SIOUX CITY, Iowa (jimmiepride.com) — Austin Shafer (SR/Jamestown, N.D.) of the University of Jamestown men’s soccer team has been named GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

Shafer, had a hat trick in the Jimmies’ 5-3 win over Mount Marty (S.D). He also scored on a penalty kick on the way to his second hat trick of the season. Shafer has 12 goals this season, just two goals away from the UJ single-season record.

Jamestown plays at Dordt (Iowa) University Wednesday beginning at 7 p.m.
