loyal-to-local

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A campaign curated by the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce hopes to track as much local spending as possible this holiday season.

Loyal to Local was introduced in 2021. Executive Director Emily Bivens says with business and community involvement, they had tremendous success in encouraging money was spent locally.

Bivens says business in Jamestown are currently being accepted to be merchants where participants are encouraged to shop and spend a certain amount. She says the merchants will be responsible for stamping the “passport” to keep track of the local spending.

Once passports are completed, they can then be turned in to win a variety of prizes that are donated by other businesses. She says they were happy with last year’s success and hope to build in it in 2022.

Bivens says any business can participate and does not have to be a chamber member. For more information, visit jamestownchamber.com.
