VALLEY CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com)  Hi-Liner football will attempt to win their eighth straight game tonight when they travel to Grand Forks.

Valley City faces the Central Knights at Cushman Field tonight.  The Hi-Liners ran their record to 7-0 with a 34-6 win over the Jamestown Bluejays last week, in a battle of the then top-ranked and second-ranked teams.  Ethan Miller scored three times, and Valley City held Jamestown to just 97 yards total offense.

After weeks of moving up the polls, the Hi-Liners became the unanimous top-ranked team in this week’s media poll.  They also have the top QRF rating in 11-A football, the rating that determines seeding and qualification for the post-season.

Central is fighting for it’s playoff life.  The Knights are ranked eighth in the QRF rankings, the final spot to get in, and a point and change ahead of Devils Lake.  They play at Devils Lake next Friday.

Gametime is scheduled for 7:00 PM.  Pregame coverage will begin at 6:30 PM on KOVC tonight.
