HORACE, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High School football team scored 46 unanswered points in a 46-12 blowout win over Horace.
Jamestown and Horace were tied at six after the first quarter until the rushing attack opened up in a big way. Jamestown’s Aden Braun had two touchdowns over 30 yards and rushed for 127 yards in the win. Payton Hochhatler also found the endzone twice on the ground with rushes of 17 and 14 yards. Hochhalter also went 8-12 for 151 yards and two passing touchdowns.
The Blue Jay offense converted on a muffed kick by Horace and scored on the next play when Hochhalter found Preston Gall from 30 yards away. Jamestown took a 33-6 lead into the halftime break.
Jackson Walters hauled in his 10th touchdown of the year in the second half on a third and long with a 68-yard score. That pushed the Blue Jays in front 46-6 before a late Horace touchdown.
Preston Gall also had a touchdown receiving for Jamestown and Tyson Jorrison had a 24-yard touchdown run. Jamestown finished with 220 yards rushing.
With the win, Jamestown moves to 6-2 overall and will wrap up the regular season on Thursday night against Fargo North. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM from Hansen Stadium.
