VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It was a close race, but Team Law narrowly edged out Team Fire during the two-day Battle of the Badge Blood Drive in Valley City.
Team Law had 72 votes or blood donors and Team Fire had 67.
Weldon Roberts of Vitalant Blood Services said 138 people donated blood over a two-day period.
Last year, (2021) Team Fire won the Annual Battle of the Badges” Blood Drive with 71 donations and Team Fire got 60, for a total of 131 blood donation back in 2021.
Valley City Fire Chief Scott Magnuson and Police Chief Phil Hatcher gave each other a good ribbing for this worthy cause.
