Two individuals check-in to get their flu shot during the Central Valley Health District (CVHD) flu shot clinic
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Several came through the doors for the Central Valley Health District (CVHD) flu shot clinic at the Jamestown Civic Center Wednesday, Oct. 5.
While the flu is prevalent year-round, peak flu season occurs during the fall and winter. Health officials are prompting everyone of all ages to get their vaccine as soon as possible.
Kim Lee is the director of nursing for CVHD. She says they were happy with the amount of walk-ins they had during their first clinic of the fall.
While the clinic was geared towards the 65+ age with the high dose and those 18 years and older getting the regular dose, Lee says they’re planning a child’s flu shot clinic on Oct. 20 at their offices in Jamestown.
Lee says no matter age, they’re encouraging everyone to get their flu shot.
While registration is appreciated, Lee says they’ll be accepting walk-ins at their office to get the flu show. She added there are other ways they’ll be administering the flu vaccine for those who want it.
