VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Rich Schueneman has served for nearly 23 years as the Resource Manager of Baldhill Dam northwest of Valley City. He said it’s been a great run since he started in January of 2000.
But he said sadly, he and his staff have had to respond to drowning deaths on Lake Ashtabula.
Schueneman said on the positive side, construction of new lake homes has doubled over the last two decades during his tenure.
Schueneman and his wife Karen plan to do more traveling following his retirement on Friday, October 7th.
Scott Tichy will become the new resource manager of Baldhill Dam.
Tichy has worked at the site for 29 years northwest of Valley City.
Baldhill Dam is a part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers St. Paul District Office. The full interview with Rich Schueneman and Scott Tichy is below.
