national-4-h-week-2022

ELLENDALE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – This week is National 4-H Week.

Millions of youth, parents, volunteers, and alumni are encouraged to come together this week to celebrate the many positive development opportunities that 4-H can offer.

Danielle Dinger is an Extension Agent with Dickey County Extension Service. She’s also the 4-H Coordinator for the county.

As part of 4-H Week, Dinger says they have received multiple STEM kits. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. She says these kits teach kids critical thinking and observational skills they can use well into adulthood.

Other Dickey County Extension information available currently includes preserving your garden vegetables, Local Senior Center talks every month at the Oakes Senior Center, volunteer project training in Nome Nov. 7, and more.

Dinger also encourages anyone who wants to bring in an extension agent to speak to their classroom to reach out today.

You can contact the Dickey County Extension Service today at 701-349-8323, visit their Facebook page, or stop by the Dickey County Courthouse.
