VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – With the post-season looming, and tournament play on the docket in Fargo this weekend, the Hi-Liner volleyball team will hit the road looking to build momentum Tuesday night.

Valley City travels to Grand Forks Central to take on the Knights in a match that will be work two points in the Eastern Dakota Conference (EDC) standings.

Play-in volleyball is on the horizon for Valley City, and, without a significant move, it will happen on the road.  The Hi-Liners are 2-11 in EDC play, five points behind eighth-place Grand Forks Red River.  The top four teams avoid the play-in, while the fifth through eighth-place teams host in the play-in round.

Central is 1-13 in EDC play.  With the match worth two league points, tonight’s match will go a long way in determining where each team ends up in the post-season.

The match will be broadcast on KOVC, with pregame coverage beginning at 6:45 PM.
