KULM, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Oakes defeated EEK 26-6 in Kulm.
EEK would get things off started right away with a 52 yard bomb from Nitschke to Kramelich for the first points of game. However Oakes would come right back with a 52 yard touchdown(Vossler to Sundby) of their own to tie the game 6-6. Oakes would then force a few turnovers and end the game with a 26-0 score run. The final score of the game was 26-6 in favor of the Oakes Tornadoes.
Stand out performances from Mario Garza who rushed for 182 yards and two touchdowns in the win, and from Grant Wagner, who defended 3 passes, created big plays for Garza by blocking well down the field, and forced and recovered a fumble of his own at a big turning point in the game.
Oakes will take on Lisbon this Friday in Oakes (10/7).
