BISMARCK, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High School boy’s soccer season came to a close on Saturday afternoon at St. Mary’s High School as the Blue Jays fell in a state qualifier match. Back in Jamestown, the volleyball team swept Watford City in a double counter.

BOY’S SOCCER: CENTURY 2, JAMESTOWN 1

Iddi Ramadhani converted a penalty kick to tie the game at one in the 69th minute before a Century goal less than five minutes later ended the Blue Jays season in a state qualifier. The Patriots had a 1-0 lead going into the half after Parker Hopfauf scored in the 15th minute off an assist from Max Senechal. Ramadhani’s goal more than 50 minutes later tied the game briefly before an unassisted Brooks Turner goal in the 73rd minute sent Century to state.

Jamestown ends the year with a 6-8-2 overall record, going 5-7-2 in the West Region.

VOLLEYBALL: JAMESTOWN 3, WATFORD CITY 0 (Double Counter)

#4 Jamestown earned two points in the conference standings on Saturday afternoon at Jerry Meyer Arena as the Blue Jays swept Watford City in a double counter in the WDA. Bernadette Newman led Jamestown with 11 kills and Makenna Nold had a double-double with 10 kills as well as 22 assists in the victory. Aspyn Peterson led the Blue Jay back row with 14 digs and Newman finished with 12 digs. The Blue Jays improve to 17-2 overall and 10-2 in the WDA and will take on #5 Legacy on Tuesday night at Jerry Meyer.
