JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The #2 Jamestown High School football team got right back in the win column on Friday night at Hansen Stadium as the Blue Jays rolled to a 33-8 victory over Dickinson.

Jamestown scored on its first offensive drive of the game when Payton Hochhalter connected with Preston Gall on a 54-yard pass play for a 7-0 lead. The Midgets answered immediately, scoring on their first drive and converting a two-point conversion to go ahead 8-7. That would be the last time Dickinson led in the game.

Jamestown would score 20 unanswered points to end the first half and take a 27-8 lead into the break. Hochhalter threw for over 255 yards in the first 24 minutes of play and the Blue Jay defense had three sacks as well as an interception from Andrew Walz and a punt blocked on special teams.

In the second half, Jamestown’s defense shined as they created two turnovers, and had three sacks to shut out the Midgets in the final three quarters of play. Hochhalter finished the day 18-37 for 306 yards and four touchdowns through the air. The senior also had a rushing touchdown and accounted for all five Blue Jays scores on the night.

Jorrison finished the game with 60 yards in receptions. Nate Walz had an interception on defense but also scored on a 41-yard touchdown pass from Hochhalter at the end of the first half.
