BISMARK/WILLISTON, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High School girls golf and boys soccer teams were in action on Tuesday night as both golf and soccer prepare for West Region Tournaments starting next week.
GIRL’S GOLF: JAMESTOWN PLACES EIGHTH, SORLIE SHOOTS 99 TO LEAD BLUE JAYS
The Blue Jay girls golf team shot a team total score of 415 on Tuesday morning in Williston to take eighth at the final conference meet of the regular season. Olivia Sorlie led Jamestown with a 99 while Isabelle LeFevre shot a 100 for the Jays. Century took first with a team total of 340 and Mandan’s Anna Huettl was the course leader with a 78. The West Region Tournament takes place next Monday, September 26th at the Jamestown Country Club.

BOY’S SOCCER: BISMARCK HIGH 7, JAMESTOWN 1
Bismarck High scored the first five goals of the match on Tuesday night as Jamestown fell on the road against the Demons. The lone goal for Jamestown came in the second half when Henry Yolain scored in the 58th minute off an assist Connor Traut. The seven goals allowed by the Jays is the most in any match this year. Jamestown wraps up the regular season on Thursday night at Mandan before hosting a WDA play-in match next Tuesday.
