Ellendale, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The #8 Oakes Tornadoes were able to pick up another District win Tuesday, beating the Ellendale Cardinals in a 5 Set Thriller.

The first set went the way of the Cardinals by a score of 25-21. Set two went to the Tornadoes by a score of 25-16 as the Tornadoes were able to pull away. The Cardinals would respond by taking set three and getting to verge of victory by a score of 25-20. The Tornadoes were able to respond, however, and they took a high scoring set four by a score of 27-25. Set 5 would also go the way of the Tornadoes, bucking the trend, by a score of 15-12.
