JAMESTOWN, N.D. (JRMC) – Moms matter. And so does their health.
Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) is making education easy for busy moms to access at the Mention the Unmentionables event on Thursday, Oct. 6.
“Questions about women’s health can feel embarrassing,” said OB/GYN Dr. Emily Stromquist. “Mention the Unmentionables is an opportunity for moms to learn about their bodies, especially in their child-bearing years.”
Dr. Stromquist joined JRMC in 2022. She and the OB/GYN team – Dr. Gregg McAdoo and Nurse Practitioner Makenzie Breitbach – offer 24/7 specialty care to women in the region.
The JRMC OB/GYN team will offer education and mention what is often unmentionable — options for birth control, infertility, urinary incontinence as well menstrual and sexual health. Their goal is to equip and empower women so they can make the best healthcare decisions for themselves and their families.
“Too often, women aren’t sure what’s going on with their bodies and are too uncomfortable to ask. That can lead to an unpleasant health outcome,” Dr, McAdoo said. “We’d like to alleviate those by offering free educational opportunities like Mention the Unmentionables.”
Questions are welcome at the event or privately in advance to info@jrmcnd.com.
Set at Trinity Lutheran Church, the event begins with a social and snacks at 5:30 p.m. The presentation will follow at 6 p.m. Snacks and door prizes will be provided. Complimentary childcare is available at Stepping Stones, located in Trinity Lutheran’s basement. Mention the Unmentionables is free and open to the public. Registration is appreciated, though not required. RSVP at jrmcnd.com/unmentionables or call (701) 952-4795. Pre-registered attendees will be entered in to win a special coffee-themed prize.
