New Rockford, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)——New Rockford-Sheyenne (NRS) scored the first 10 points of the opening set and had to hold off Carrington 26-24, included 2 set points for Carrington. The Rockets would claim set 2 as well with a 25-20 victory. Carrington won a tough third set 25-23, cruised to a 25-15 set 4 win before capturing the fifth set 15-11.

The Cardinals were paced by Madison Johnson and Haley Wolsky with a team high 16 kills each. Kennedy Wendel added 11 kills and Emma Hone added 9 kills and a match high 3 stuff blocks. Isabel Wendel added 6 kills and a match high 6 service aces.

The Rockets were paced by Kelsie Belquist with a match high 26 kills and Madisen Myhre added 8 kills. Kyria Dockter added 4 service aces for the Rockets. NRS dropped to 1-3 overall and Carrington improved to 4-1 on the season.
