SIOUX CITY, Iowa (jimmiepride.com) — For the second consecutive week, University of Jamestown defensive specialist Ellie Holen (JR/LaMoure, N.D.) has been named the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender of the Week.

Holen had 47 digs as the sixth-ranked Jimmies swept both Northwestern and Morningside at home last week. Against Northwestern, Holen had 15 digs and three service aces, then followed that up with 21 digs and four assists against Morningside.

Through games of September 12, Holen is second in the NAIA with 6.55 digs per set and third with 321 digs. Her 7.83 digs per set in conference matches leads the GPAC.

Jamestown (13-1 overall, 2-0 GPAC) travels to No. 23 Dordt (Iowa) on Saturday for a 3 p.m. match.
