Valley City, N.D. (NEWSDAKOTA.com) – The Hi-Liner volleyball team was unable to get past the West Fargo Packers, falling 3 sets to none.

Set 1 was the closest and most intense set of the match with both teams going back and forth unable to get a solid lead. Both teams had 3 point leads at least once in the set. Samantha Hatcher also had 2 aces in set one. The Hi-Liners also had 3 set points but were unable to pick it up and fell in set one, 27-25.

Set 2 started well for the Hi-Liners as they had a 2 point lead twice early on however the Packers would fight back and end up taking the lead on large 6 point swing lead by the service of Olivia Soine. Valley City wasn’t able to muster too much more resistance and dropped set 2 by a score of 25-16.

Set 3 was all Packers to start. They lead 7-0 before the Hi-Liners got a single point. The Hi-Liners would not be counted out however and they would fight back to take a 16-15 lead once again by Hatcher. However the Packers would soon go on an 8 point swing making it 23-17. They would then take the set and the match 25-17.

Samantha Hatcher was named the Ivy Real Estate Group Player of the Game.

Valley City is in action again on Thursday when they travel to Fargo Davies.
