JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Blue Jay girls swimming and diving team grabbed its first win of the WDA season on Thursday night and boys soccer tied Mandan 1-1 at home. Girls volleyball suffered its first loss of the year. Full results are below.

SWIMMING AND DIVING: JAMESTOWN 99, BISMARCK HIGH 86

The Blue Jay girls were nearly perfect during their relay races on Thursday night against the Demons as Jamestown picked up a West Region victory over Bismarck High. The Blue Jays have had some nice success in the pool this season with a win over Grand Forks Red River last Friday and a second-place finish in the Battle of the Birds Invite last Saturday. BOY’S SOCCER: JAMESTOWN 1, MANDAN 1

The Blue Jays earned a point with a draw against the Braves in another West Region home match. Jamestown went in front in the 23rd minute after Brady Harty scored off an assist by Iddi Ramadhani. Mandan answered almost immediately with a 28th-minute goal and the two sides were even from there in the draw. Grant Lunde had eight saves for Jamestown, now 3-2-2 overall and in the WDA this year.

The Jays host Legacy on Tuesday night with just three home matches remaining on the schedule.

VOLLEYBALL: LEGACY 3, JAMESTOWN 1

The Blue Jays were handed their first loss of the year at Bismarck Legacy as Jamestown fell 3-1 to the Sabers. Set scores were 25-19, 24-26, 23-25, and 17-25. The Jays are now 8-1 on the year and 1-1 in the WDA. Jamestown travels to Williston on Saturday before matches at home next Tuesday and Thursday against Turtle Mountain and St. Mary’s.
