VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Summer Nights on Central Committee and Valley City State University would like to formally invite the community to the first ever Summer Vikes on Central. The entire Valley City community is invited to Central Avenue on Thursday, September 8th for this family-friendly event to welcome incoming and current VCSU students.
Summer Nights on Central Committee member Trinity Nelson said we want all students to realize the wonderful amenities our vibrant community has to offer and help them connect with local businesses and community members in a fun and relaxing atmosphere. If you haven’t had the opportunity to attend a Summer Nights on Central, they are a series of events held each summer in downtown Valley City featuring live music, shopping happy hour, food vendors and more. These events have drawn crowds of 500 up to 1,000 and are open to all ages at no cost.
In addition, Summer Vikes on Central will feature VCSU’s freshman class, marching band and additional Viking family members led from the University’s footbridge to Central Avenue by VCSU President Dr. Alan LaFave. We encourage community members to show up early so they can welcome the VCSU crowd when it arrives between 5:45PM and 6:00PM.
Nelson said area businesses and organizations are encouraged to register for a booth and take advantage of this great opportunity.
