Curriculum Vitae of Director General Bill S.C. Huang
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Delegates representing Taiwan through the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Denver are visiting North Dakota to explore ways to strengthen the state and country’s relationship.
District 12 Representative Bernie Satrom says the visit came after a legislative conference in Wichita, KS this summer.
Bill Huang is the Director General for the office in Denver. Since 1986, North Dakota has had an ongoing sister-state relationship with Taiwan, which was reaffirmed in a 2021 proclamation by Governor Doug Burgum.
Huang added relations can be strengthened in the technology sector.
As the demand for cutting edge technology remains in the state, Huang says he’s hopeful North Dakota will rely on the partnership with Taiwan to meet those growing demands.
Huang earlier this week spent time with Lt. Governor Brent Sanford, discussing ways to strengthen the business relationship of Taiwan and North Dakota.
