JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Bank Forward’s Penny Steckler was inspired and encouraged to do something for Jamestown after attending the Community Action Partnership Poverty Simulator earlier this year.

Steckler says the simulator really opened her eyes on one of the biggest issues that may be facing those who live below the poverty line locally.

Armed with that information, Steckler took it to Bank Forward and asked what they could do.

Steckler says Fuel It Forward will be held through Bank Forward, where they’ll accept any monetary donation that will then be used to purchase gas cards to Neighborhood Grocery or transit passes to get to and from places in the community.

Donations can be brought to Bank Forward in Jamestown at 400 2nd Ave. SW through Sept. 30. Steckler says those who wish to utilize the program and are in need will be able to contact Community Action Region VI to get the assistance they need. You do not need to be a customer of Bank Forward to apply for the assistance.

If you have questions, contact Bank Forward at 701-251-2040 or visit bankforward.com.
