Coach Nielsen’s Thoughts:
Minot won the west region last year and is looking to do so again this year. We had three very tight doubles matches including a victory showing us that we can compete with anyone. We are saddened that we couldn’t finish the match, but we know our region needed the rain.
The JV played the best we have played even though the scores don’t show it. We were moving better with higher consistency and better placement on our shots. Kellen Westman and Gavin Swenson both played better than I have ever seen with Gavin knocking off Minot’s #1 JV player.
Next action is Tuesday at Red River at 4pm.
