JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Game & Fish Department is reminding sportsmen of their online guide to assist with navigating land in the state.

The Private Land Open to Sportsmen, or PLOTS, is available online on the Game & Fish Department’s website.

Doug Leier is an wildlife biologist with North Dakota Game & Fish.

There will also be some PLOTS tracts where the habitat and condition of the tract will have changed significantly. Conversely, Game and Fish may have added new tracts to the program after the guide went to press.

To minimize possible confusion, Game and Fish will update PLOTS map sheets weekly on its website.

Leier also encourages hunters to jump to their license purchases for the archery deer season, which opens September 2.

Leier says equipment numbering is also available at gf.nd.gov.

Catch Doug Leier talking the Great Outdoors every Thursday at 7:40 AM on Big Dog 95.5 FM with JD in the Morning.
