JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Commission approved the sale of some equipment Tuesday afternoon.
Road Superintendent Jim Wentland reports he had some tandem trucks available to sell including two 1986 international dump trucks.
Wentland says they’re trying to phase out the tandem trucks and have recently purchased a new side dump truck. He added they have some grinders they haven’t used and he’d like to sell them.
He says they have a pickup and single international they’d like to conduct an in-house auction on.
He says they also have a tractor with a grinder on the back and would like to put in an antique auction. The commission unanimously approved. Commissioner Ramone Gumke was not present.
Wentland later reported that they are working on gravel and crushing.
The commission moved to finish the gravel crushing project with billing into 2023.
Wentland also provided an update on Runner Slough near Cleveland. As waters rise, he says it’s been a “headache” of a project.
The commission moved to approve Gene Guthmiller to work on the project, pending the cost per hour.
He added the road south of the slough had an emergency reported on Saturday, Aug. 13.
Commissioner Mark Klose says they’ll discuss further work at a different time.
