SIOUX CITY, IA. (jimmiepride.com) – The University of Jamestown football team has been picked to finish ninth in the 2022 GPAC preseason coaches poll released this week.

The Jimmies tallied 32 points, just one point behind Hastings (Neb.) for eighth.

Morningside (Iowa), the defending NAIA national champion, was tabbed to finish first, receiving 10 of 11 first place votes. Northwestern (Iowa) received the other first place vote and was picked to finish second, followed by Dordt (Iowa), Concordia (Neb.), and Midland (Neb.)

UJ opens the season Thursday, August 25 at 7 p.m. with a non-conference game against Valley City State (N.D.) University at Charlotte & Gordon Hansen Stadium.
