VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Scherbenske Inc. of Jamestown was awarded the bid to remove temporary clay levees in Valley City.
Chad Petersen of KLJ engineering told the city commission Scherbenske submitted the lowest bid of the two companies who submitted bids.
Petersen said the removal and restoration process should be completed by mid-September weather permitting. He said local sub-contractors will also be hired by the main contractor for the removal of temporary clay levees. He said the contractor has 49 days to complete the project. He said the clock started August 2nd following the approval of the $827,079 bid by the city of Valley City.
In other news, Peterson said work on those ADA ramps along 12th Street northwest in Valley City continues. He said weather permitting the mill and overlay of the street is tentatively set for August 15th.
