JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone heard the latest regarding Child Protection Services caseloads and program updates.

Child Protection Supervisor Libby Wynne says the caseloads during the summer are generally low for the zone.

Wynne says right now in Valley City and Jamestown, there are 31 open CPS cases they’re working with.

She added that she has been requested to work with other zones as many others deal with staffing shortages.

Presiding Board Officer Mandi Freije also provided an update regarding their Valley City office and the current lack of space.

Freije says she has been working with the Valley City Commission and other parties in the space to figure out where Buffalo Bridges staff would be moved.

She added she will look to get on the next August Valley City Commission agenda to work something out.
