VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – This spring Emilee Olson-Gronneberg, a Senior at Valley City Public Schools headed a spring planting project at Jefferson Elementary School.
School district staff member, Sarah Biggers said Emilee, along with the help of students and teachers at Jefferson elementary, planted flower beds and other planters outside of the school this spring.
She said they planted flowers, vegetables, and herbs. She added that Emilee has been spending her summer tending the planters, making sure they are watered and weeded. This fall the flowers will be donated and delivered to residents at SMP Health St. Raphael formerly know as the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City.
