VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The New Life Assembly of God Church in Valley City will host the annual Amazing Backpack Giveaway on Tuesday, August 9th at the church on Winter Show Road.

But first, there will be fundraiser, meal, and bake sale on Sunday, July 31st at the church in Valley City at 5:30pm. All are welcome.

Pastor Terry Detwiler said the goal is to help students prepare to return to the classroom by providing those in need with basic school supplies.

If you or your business are willing to partner for backpacks or supplies, contact Terry Detwiler at 701-400-9839. All donations go towards providing backpacks and supplies for the needs of children in Barnes County.

Detwiler said parents can register their children online at www.newlifevc.com/give or call the church at 701-845-2259.

The Amazing Backpack Giveaway will be held at the New Life Assembly of God Church on Monday, August 9th at 6pm. The church is located at 520 Winter Show Road SW in Valley City. The fundraiser, meal, and bake sale will be held Sunday, July 31st at the church.
