VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Public School Board approved the appointment of Rudy Ask to the school board at their annual meeting on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.

Rudy Ask was one of six candidates that applied for the interim position on the school board. He has lived in the Valley City Public School District with his family for the past 14 years, having previously served on the Hi-Liner Booster Club. He is currently employed at Sheyenne Tooling and Manufacturing in Cooperstown. He and his wife Stephanie have three children, Brooke, Taylor, and Ava.

Rudy Ask will serve as an interim school board member filling the position vacated by former school board member Natalie Wintch. She resigned her position effective on June 30, 2022 after she and her family moved out of the school district.

The interim position will be placed on the ballot during the next school board election in June 2023. The at-large position will be one of three positions on the ballot along with positions held by Ryan Mathias (rural) and Sherri Horsager (at-large).
