JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Salvation Army is celebrating Christmas in July with their Red Kettle Campaign, July 22 & 23.
The sound of the bells will be heard as volunteers spread joy and raise funds at Cash Wise Foods.
“All funds raised stay local and support The Salvation Army programs that help area individuals and families who are struggling to maintain their homes, health, stability, dignity, and more all year long,” stated Major Judy Lowder. “With many facing hardships, the need to serve those most vulnerable is great. Meeting these needs is made possible by our donor’s kindness at the Red Kettle.”
Lowder says this year, they are in need of financial donations even more than usual.
“This past Christmas of 2021, we fell short of our goal by over $40,000,” she explained. “To help us recover we are having Christmas in July.”
Those wishing to help can donate at kettles in Cashwise Foods or volunteer to ring a bell. Contact Major Lowder at 701-269-3930 or Judy.Lowder@usc or SalvationArmy.org to schedule.
