Bernice H. Krueger Schultz, 94, of Jamestown. Bernice passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at her son’s home on Monday, July 18, 2022.
Bernice Dallman was born June 26, 1928 on the family farm near Fredonia, North Dakota to Christ and Martha (Kaldun) Dallman. She was baptized and confirmed at King Lutheran Church, near Lehr. She attended rural Elementary School until 8th grade. Later she obtained her G.E.D. in Jamestown. She married Victor Irvin Krueger on March 23, 1947 and they worked for her aunt and uncle that summer. They moved to Jamestown in the fall of 1948 and lived there most of her life. She was employed at Woolworths for five years before becoming a stay-at-home mom to Deb, Wally, and Loren. Bernice then worked at Concordia Lutheran Church for a few years where she was a member and later was employed at Bostwicks for 12 years. Her husband, Vic, passed away June 21, 1981. She married Harold Schultz on July 16, 1988 and they were members at Trinity Lutheran Church. He passed away on April 28, 2002. Bernice was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries. She also volunteered her time at church and the James River Senior Citizens Center. Bernice moved to St. Cloud in 2020 to be near family.
Bernice enjoyed playing Pinocle, Bingo, dancing, feeding and watching the birds, working in her flower gardens and mowing lawn. She will be remembered for her chicken with strudels and baked rice.
She is survived by her children, Deb (Ken) Hoerth of Bend, OR, Loren Krueger (Teresa Odness) of St. Cloud, MN; seven grandchildren, Tori (Scott) Dickerson, Kayla (Dan) Dornfeld, Chris Hoerth, Danielle (Dalton) Daniels, Alicia (Ryan) Bruns, Jamie Krueger, Kelsey (Ryan) Bryngelson; great grandchildren, Kaysen, Ryker, Svea, Kieran, Rivyn, Maizee, Jaiden, Samual, Micah, Rennan, Regan, Ryker, Remi, Ramsey, Taylor, Zander, and Mia, brother, Eldon (Agnes) Dallman of Lehr; and many other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Vic and Harold; son, Kevin “Wally” Krueger; infant grandson; daughter-in-law, Denise Krueger; and special friends, Elden Brady and Duane Wagner.
Visitation: 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2022 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Funeral Service: 11 a.m., Monday, August 1, 2022 at Eddy Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Dornfeld to officiate.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens
