JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The first day of the 2022 District 4 American Legion Baseball tournament was held at Jack Brown Stadium with two games, here are the results:

No. 4 New Rockford 6  No. 5 Nelson County 0

Keaton Cudworth worked a complete game five-hit shutout to help Post 30 defeat the Nelson County Owls for the third time this season. Caden Price, Alex Harrison and Luke Yri each had three hits for New Rockford. Cole Hendrickson took the loss, working four and a third, Ross Thompson worked an inning and two-thirds in relief for Nelson County.

No. 3 Carrington 10  No. 6 Jamestown Hawks 0, 6 innings

Grady Shipman hit a two-run homerun in the bottom on the fourth inning as Post 25 cruises to a 10-run rule victory in six innings. Kael Kovar picks up the victory, working five innings and no hits. Trent Ekren worked an inning in relief. Jake Moser took the loss working three and two-thirds, Jackson Jarrett worked two innings. The only Jamestown hit came in the sixth when Kaden Hakanson hit a single.

2pm – No. 2 Linton/Ashley/Wishek vs. No. 3 Carrington

4pm – Jamestown Hawks vs. (loser of KC/NR) elimination game
