JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A lot has changed in 28 years for the Jamestown Public School District.

Many of those changes have been overseen by Greg Allen.

In his service on the school board, Allen has worked with 5 superintendents, dozens of administrators, and hundreds of teachers.

Board member Heidi Larson stated that Allen has led the school board as president for 9 of his 28 years. That includes serving on and leading countless other committees.

Larson says Allen has also been an active member of the North Dakota State School Board Association with 6 years on the statewide board.

Allen stated he has no regrets serving the school board for as long as he has, adding it’s been a great experience.

He says the service has been rewarding and believes the current board is well equipped to continue serving the district to the best of its ability.

The school board voted Heidi Larson to serve as President and Dan Tweten as Vice President during board reorganization.
