JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Post 14 Eagles scored four runs off of two hits and an error in the first inning and never looked back in a wire-to-wire 7-3 win over the Perham Post 61 Buzz.
After Jacoby Nold tossed a scoreless first inning, Connor Hoyt and Payton Hochhalter each reached base before Carson Orr put Jamestown ahead 1-0 on an RBI single. After the Orr single, Preston Gall doubled into right field to plate Hochhalter and make it 2-0. Nold tossed five innings, giving up just one earned run and two hits while striking out five to get the win. Thomas Newman threw the final two innings, allowing three hits and two earned runs.
