CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Natural Resources Conservation Service has a variety of programs and services for area farmers, ranchers, and landowners.
CDU Supervisor Paul DuBourt represents Foster, Eddy, Griggs, and Wells County. He says one of these programs is their Environmental Quality Incentives Program, or EQIP.
DuBourt says they’re getting requests on cover crops, hay planting, and tree planting. He says it’s been announced that September 23rd will be the cutoff for applications in 2022.
Another program is the Conservation Stewardship Program, or CSP.
And DuBourt says there’s been tremendous amounts of signups this year for the Conservation Reserve Program, or CRP.
DuBourt encourages anyone who has questions on these and other programs to contact their offices in Carrington, Cooperstown, Fessenden, and New Rockford. Find information at nrcs.usda.gov
