JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Commission moved ahead with helping St. Paul Township with the cost of a project.

Representative Tom Kleven says the project is finished, but they needed a short-term loan to receive further funding to pay off the cost.

Kleven says they have funding waiting, but they need to pay off Guthmiller and Interstate Engineering before getting that funding.

The commission unanimously approved.

The commission also discussed grade changes for the Sheriff’s Department and States Attorneys Office, Social Services VAV Boxes project, and radio purchase by the Sheriff’s Office.

Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser says the purchase of 24 radios, 3 hand held mobiles, 16 split mobile, and 2 unit chargers would cost around $94,391 for the county. The state will send payback after the county receives proof of purchase and the delivery of the radios.

Kaiser says he is also still seeking building options for his department to use for storage.
