BISMARCK, N.D. (NDHP) – A Tappen, North Dakota woman is facing charges after she lost control of her pickup on a curve and entered the south portion of Alkaline Lake on Monday, June 27th about 10:30am.

The Highway Patrol said 45-year-old Shannon Lang was able to escape from the vehicle and did not suffer life threatening injuries in the incident.

Lang was arrested and charge with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and care required. The vehicle was removed from Alkaline Lake about 1pm on Tuesday, June 28th. More details about this incident are attached below.
