FARGO, N.D. (CCSO) – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has identified the victim from the vehicle fire that occurred Sunday, June 26th on Interstate 94.

Cass County authorities, along with multiple first responders, were dispatched to a vehicle fire near mile marker 313 shortly before 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 26th.

Authorities identified the victim as 36-year-old Matthew R. Knight of Greenville, OH; Knight’s family has been notified.

Knight’s body was transported to the state medical examiner’s office in Grand Forks for an autopsy. As authorities await the result from the medical examiner, the investigation will continue and no further information will be released at this time.
