VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Summer Nights on Central Committee is excited to announce the partnership between Valley City State University (VCSU) and Summer Nights on Central to bring you the first ever Summer Vikes on Central on September 8th.

Committee members Reah Tykwinski, Kara Anderson and Trinity Nelson said this event will help welcome incoming and current VCSU students to Valley City. “We want all students to realize what our vibrant community has to offer and introduce them to local businesses and community members in a fun and relaxing atmosphere.”

If you haven’t had the opportunity to attend a Summer Nights on Central, they are a series of events held each summer on Central Avenue in Downtown Valley City featuring live music, late night shopping, food vendors, and more. These events were started in 2019 and have previously drawn a crowd of 500 – 1,000 people. Businesses are encouraged to register on our Website under Business Registration and set up a booth the night of September 8th. Freebies, drawings, games, giveaways or college student discounts are encouraged, but not required. Power will not be provided and we ask that businesses provide their own tables and chairs; there will be a $20 fee to reserve your spot for this event.
