IRVING, Texas (jimmiepride.com)–Ron Hausauer, a standout offensive lineman for the Jimmie football team, is on the ballot for the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame Class, as announced by the National Football Foundation (NFF) on Monday.

Hausauer was a two-time NAIA All-American (1980, 1981) as well as a four-time All-American in track and field. He was the 1981 NCAA Division III national shot put champion in 1981 and still holds the school record in the event.

After graduation, the Hazen, N.D., native played professional football with the Denver Gold (1983, 1985) and Pittsburgh Maulers (1984) of the United States Football League (USFL).

This year’s ballot includes 80 players and nine coaches from the FBS and 96 players and 33 coaches from the divisional ranks. The complete ballot is available on the NFF website.

The announcement of the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be made in early 2023, with specific details to be announced in the future.

The 2023 College Football Hall of Fame Class will be officially inducted during the 65th NFF Annual Awards Dinner on Dec. 5, 2023, and permanently immortalized at the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta. They will also be honored at their respective schools with an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute, presented by Fidelity Investments, during the 2023 season.
