VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A sharp lightening bolt nearly struck a home in Valley City shortly after 7am on Tuesday, June 14th.
The impact from the lightening, split a pine tree, blew out a concrete curb and threw dirt into the street and driveway of the home.
Fire Chief Scott Magnuson said electrical power to the home was knocked out and repair crews had to restore power to the home at 1430 2nd Avenue Northeast. No injuries were reported.
