NEW ROCKFORD, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Caden Price knocked in Luke Yri for the game winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning as New Rockford Post 30 defeats Carrington Post 25 10-9 on Monday night. Carrington is now 2-2 overall and 2-2 in District 4, New Rockford improves to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in District 4.
In a back and forth contest and multiple ties, New Rockford had 11 total hits. Koba Duda had three hits for New Rockford, including two singles, a double, an RBI and scored one run. Price, Alex Harrison, Nic Berglund and Luke Yri all had two hits each as well. Carrington had 10 total hits, Jack Erickson, Grady Shipman, Lucas Hendrickson, Trent Ekren and Brock Fike all had two hits. Post 25 used two pitchers, Lucas Hendrickson worked five innings, Kael Kovar worked the last two and takes the loss. NR used two pitchers as well, Berglund worked five innings, Connor Knatterud worked the last two.
