OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Oakes High School Reunion during the 50th Irrigation Days was a smash hit on Saturday afternoon. The patrons could not have asked for better weather and better conditions to convene at Hockenberry Park. After a rainy Irrigation Days Parade, the sunshine was welcoming to those coming from out of town or just going a few blocks to see their former classmates.
Saturday was full of events including the games being played by a lot of the kids on Main Street. The Car Show was sponsored by Napa and Visto’s Implement and Carquest featured many retro and colorful cars that were on display at Hockenberry Park. The crowd was serenaded by the lovely tunes from the band “A Touch of Class” with Season’s Bar providing the drinks.
