VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The contractor working for Loves Travel Center started a road reconstruction improvement project at their entrance approach this week.

The work consists of widening the turning radius in both the northeast and southeast corners of the access to the site.
The southeast corner was scheduled to be completed this week. The work in the northeast corner will be completed next week weather permitting. The road reconstruction improvements will hopefully improve traffic flow into and out of the Loves Travel Center site.

And the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) said road construction work is also underway on Main Street in Valley City from Smith Lumber Company to Budget Burger.

The NDDOT said the work will consist of adding a chip seal coat to the top of the existing pavement surface and installing grooved pavement markings.

Motorist are asked to exercise caution throughout the work zone on Main Street. Expect a few delays during this project.
The work will be suspended during Rally in the Valley, but work will continue the following week.
