JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation (JSDC) has come a long way in its history.
According to Executive Director Connie Ova, Stutsman County was the first in North Dakota to introduce an agency to work on economic development.
Today, the JSDC has their hands in projects that total over $500 million through 2021. A big portion of that is the ADM/Marathon Green Bison Soy Crushing facility in the Spiritwood Energy Park.
Ova says they also hosted Applied Blockchain as one of the first cryptocurrency projects in the state. She says another exciting project is Collin’s Aerospace as they expand into the Airport Business Park.
Ova says they also have a company that has been looking at locating inside the Spiritwood Energy Park, but they’ve run out of room with current projects.
She also says Bison World is still “very much in consideration for funding.”
Ova says with additional funding, they believe they can continue to bring in more companies and projects for both Jamestown and Stutsman County.
