CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – NRCS District Conservationist Kayla Feiring Bjork says with high moisture in the region, producers should consider cover crops for parts of their land they can’t access at this time to plant.
Bjork says there are some programs that are available to them if they’re interested in cover crops.
Producers can apply online at nd.gov/ndda or stop by the Foster County Soil Conservation District for more information.
With pasture conditions heavily affected by heavy spring rainfall and snowmelt, Bjork says it’s important to be monitoring your land as we come off previous years of drought.
