VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – What a beautiful weekend. With some sunshine, warmer temperatures, less wind and no rain. Sue and I took advantage of said weather and invested some time doing a few things in our yard.
There are still a number of properties with grass higher than what contributes to the beauty of our city. Will you please mow your lawns appropriately? Thank you
A shout out to our city staff for doing a great job throughout the weeks with excess rains in our area. There are many demands during said events, installing Permanent Flood Protection (PFP), preparing clay dikes, completing extra paperwork and the like. Thank you to all.
The Soap Box Derby was held over the weekend with a nice crowd attending. Thank you sponsors, participants and to all who facilitated the event, it was a great event.
“Music In the City Park” is Wednesday, June 8th at 7:15 PM in the new VCSU Center For the Arts. The City Park isn’t ready for this event.
*Clean-up Week is this week. Please review what will be picked up and separate materials accordingly. The weather forecast appears to be mostly dry along with moderate temperatures helping facilitate a successful event. Do your part and enjoy.
“Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.” (Special Olympics Athletes’ Motto)
Blessings, Respect, Kindness and Prayers.
